At Carlson Paint & Paper, we believe in working hard and enjoying the moments in between. One of our favorite escapes from the daily grind is heading up to the beautiful Catskills—and there’s no place we’d rather be than the Red Rose Motel and Tavern in Roscoe, NY.

I’ve been coming to Roscoe, NY, since I was a kid, and it still holds that same sense of peace, nostalgia, and comfort all these years later. Whether it’s casting a line in one of the nearby streams or kicking back on the porch with good food and great company, this place is the definition of unplugged paradise.
Every visit to Roscoe feels like a homecoming. Over the years. The Red Rose has become one of our favorite stops. A place where stories are told, laughs are shared, and memories are made, all nestled in the Trout Town USA charm of Roscoe.
When we’re not painting homes or hanging wallpaper across Long Island, you can bet we’re fishing in the Catskills, taking in the fresh air, and resetting at one of the most welcoming spots around. We’re proud to support local businesses like the Red Rose that make New York feel like home—no matter how far you roam.
So if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, some of the best fishing in the state, and a genuinely good time, make your way to the Red Rose Motel and Tavern. You might just fall in love with it the same way we did.
