Next week, Carlson Paint and Paper is heading up to one of our favorite outdoor escapes—the Covered Bridge Campsite in Livingston Manor, NY. Nestled in the heart of the Catskills, this beautiful spot is a perfect getaway for anyone who loves camping, fishing, and embracing the great outdoors.

The Covered Bridge Campsite offers that true camping lifestyle where mornings start with the sound of the river, evenings wrap up around the fire, and everything in between is about enjoying nature at its finest. Whether you’re in a beautiful cabin or a vintage camper, the setting provides a peaceful backdrop that makes it easy to disconnect and unwind.

For us, one of the biggest draws is the fly-fishing. Livingston Manor is known as one of the birthplaces of American fly-fishing, and the rivers here are full of opportunities to cast and catch. The covered bridge itself creates an iconic Catskills setting, and stepping into the stream with a rod in hand is both calming and exciting. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of landing a trout in these waters while surrounded by such natural beauty.

This trip is more than just a getaway, it’s a chance to reset, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the timeless Catskills camping and fishing traditions. We’re looking forward to sharing memories, catching fish, and soaking in the lifestyle that keeps us coming back year after year.

If you’ve never been to Livingston Manor or experienced Covered Bridge Campsite, we highly recommend adding it to your list. Between the fishing, camping, and sense of community, it’s the kind of place that makes you appreciate the outdoors in a whole new way.

Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing highlights from our adventure soon!
